2008—PCAC’s Annual Dinner Auction |
|
More than 200 people turned up, some in 1960’s mod attire, to dance, dine, laugh and donate to the Plymouth Community Arts Council’s 18th Annual Dinner Auction, An Artful Affair: Mod on Friday, March 7, 2008. Day-glo colors, mini-dresses, Pucci prints and wide-leg pants were the theme of the evening, and many attendees got in the spirit. While the donations and support were indeed generous, the Plymouth Community Arts Council still needs sponsorship for many of their programs including the ever-popular Music in the Park. 24 years ago, a group of PCAC members created the concept for Music in the Park. With the support of sponsors and donors the Council has been able to continue to bring these free-to-the-community concerts to children young and old every Wednesday afternoon during the summer. “While we have been blessed to have very generous sponsors, currently the economy makes it tough for everyone to find extra money, even for established programs. We have some sponsors in place for the 2008 series, but we need additional support in order to fully fund the program,” explains Debra Madonna, Vice-President of the PCAC Board and Chairperson of Music in the Park for 14 years. If you or your organization are interested in supporting and/or sponsoring the PCAC and its programs, please contact the PCAC at (734) 416-4278. |
